Its been a while since I last posted, but to be honest we haven’t been up to much. We have spent some time enquiring about some land, but unfortunately we were to late, as it was gone just days before our enquiry. So the search for our off grid haven continues.

I must admit the garden has been neglected for the winter, mainly because it is so water logged. But having walked round today, I noticed the signs of early spring emerging. I cleared some early rising weeds from the bare gooseberry bushes and was surprised to see the peach tree starting to bloom.

Beautiful pink flowers just starting to emerge. I am looking forward to seeing all our tree’s starting to bloom, which as all the buds seem ready, won’t be to long off.

We will be ordering some more compost topsoil mix to top up the large raised beds, ready to start planting. It will be great to get stuck into doing the garden again.
